Helping Break the Cycle of Abuse Through Accountability
The Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) helps people take responsibility for abusive behaviors toward intimate partners and family members. This class is not anger management. It focuses on patterns of control, power, and harm that affect the people closest to you. By learning how to change these behaviors, participants can begin to rebuild trust and live without violence.
Start Your Recovery TodayThe BIPP curriculum meets Texas State Guidelines and is approved by the Texas Council on Family Violence. Participants are guided by trained facilitators who focus on peer accountability and honest reflection. Classes are structured to help each person take full responsibility for past behavior and practice new, respectful ways to communicate and respond in relationships.
BIPP works best when participants are open to real change. This is not a program where you sit quietly and listen. Everyone is expected to speak, reflect, and stay engaged. The setting is respectful, but honest. No one is allowed to shift blame or avoid responsibility. The goal is not just to stop violent behavior, but to build healthy, non-threatening relationships.
Over time, participants begin to make real changes that help them become better partners, parents, and people. The support from the group and facilitators makes a major difference in breaking old habits and learning how to live with respect and self-control.
Start Your Recovery TodayThe class uses a set curriculum that includes open discussion, guided exercises, and real-life examples. All lessons are focused on personal growth, safety, and non-violence.
Our BIPP classes are held in the evenings to make them accessible for people who work during the day. All locations provide a private, safe space to speak openly and participate fully.
